Gardener in Elm
Perry's Garden Maintenance proudly serves Elm and the surrounding area.
Elm is a short drive south of Wisbech, and it is one of the villages I work in most. I cover the whole parish for grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and tidy-ups, from the houses along the main road through the village out to Coldham and the edge of Friday Bridge.
I'm Perry, and I run Perry's Garden Maintenance myself. You deal with me from the first message to the finished job, and because Elm is so close to home, a quick look before I quote is rarely a problem.
Gardens in Elm
Elm sits in old orchard country, and plenty of gardens here still have an apple, pear or plum tree or two left over from it. Fruit trees that go unpruned for a few years get crowded and tall, crop poorly and drop branches. Winter, while the tree is dormant, is the time to take out the dead and crossing wood and bring it back into shape. My tree pruning covers exactly that.
The ground is Fen silt, which grows everything quickly, grass and weeds included. A lawn left for a month in May takes some getting back. A regular grass cutting round, weekly or fortnightly through the season, keeps it manageable and usually works out better value than occasional rescue cuts.
I also do hedge cutting, weeding, bush removal and full garden clearance, and all the green waste goes away with me. For more on what I do in town, see my page for Wisbech.
Quotes are free and there is no obligation. Send me a photo and your postcode and I'll come back to you with a clear price.

Garden maintenance in Elm: your questions
Can you prune old fruit trees in Elm?
Yes. Apple and pear trees are best pruned in winter while they are dormant. I take out dead, diseased and crossing branches and shape the tree so it lets in light and crops better. Plums and cherries are the exception: they are pruned in summer to avoid disease.
Do you cover Coldham as well as Elm village?
Yes. I cover the whole of Elm parish, Coldham included. If you're not sure about your road, send me your postcode.
