Garden clearance
Overgrown gardens cut back, cleared and tidied so you can start again.
Sometimes a garden simply gets away from you. A house move, a busy year or a spell of poor health, and the grass is knee-high, the brambles have taken the back fence and you do not know where to start. That is exactly the job I like. I cut it back, clear it and take the waste away, so you have a garden you can use again.
What my garden clearance service includes
Overgrown lawns
Long grass strimmed down, raked off and cut back to a proper lawn, in stages if needed so it is not scalped.
Brambles, weeds and overgrowth
Brambles, nettles and self-seeded growth cut out and cleared from beds, borders and fence lines.
Hedges and shrubs cut back
Hedges brought back into shape and bushes that have taken over reduced or taken out.
A general tidy-up
Beds and paths cleared and edged, so the whole garden looks cared for again.
How I work
- A look at the job: in person or from a few photos, so I can give you a clear price before I start.
- Clearing: working through the garden until it is done, not just the easy bits.
- Waste taken away: the green waste cleared off site. A large volume can add a small charge, and I say so up front.
- Keeping it that way: regular visits afterwards if you want them, so it never gets back to where it was.
Book an autumn or winter clear-up
Autumn and winter are a good time for a clearance. The growth has slowed, it is easier to see what is worth keeping, and the garden is ready to enjoy come spring.
Frequently asked questions
Can you clear a really overgrown garden?
Yes. From a single border to a garden that has not been touched for years, I'll cut it back and clear it, and talk through what you'd like the space to become.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. I clear and remove the green waste, though a small charge may apply depending on the amount. I make that clear in the quote.
