Gardener in King's Lynn

Perry's Garden Maintenance proudly serves King's Lynn and the surrounding area.

I look after gardens across King's Lynn, from regular grass cutting and hedge care to tree pruning and bush removal. A reliable, fully insured local gardener for one-off jobs and ongoing maintenance alike.

I'm Perry, and I run Perry's Garden Maintenance myself. I'm based over at Wisbech, and King's Lynn is one of the four towns I cover regularly, along with March and Downham Market. You deal with me from the first message to the finished job, and I clear up properly before I leave.

Gardens across King's Lynn

I work right across the town: the older terraces of South Lynn and North Lynn, the gardens of Gaywood, the newer estates at Springwood and Fairstead, and the villages around the edge, including those on the West Lynn side of the Great Ouse. The PE30 to PE34 postcodes are all in my patch. If you are not sure about your road, send me your postcode.

King's Lynn sits close to the Wash, and the wind off the coast and the open river hits hedges and garden trees hard. A hedge kept to a sensible height and a tapered shape, cut at the right time of year, stands up to it far better than one left to grow tall and heavy at the top. The same goes for trees: taking out dead and crossing branches before the winter winds is much easier than dealing with them after a storm.

What I do in King's Lynn

  • Grass cutting in King's Lynn: mowing, edging and strimming on a round that suits you, or a one-off cut to bring a long lawn back under control.
  • Hedge cutting in King's Lynn: trimming and shaping for front hedges and tall boundary screens, with the clippings cleared and taken away.
  • Tree pruning in King's Lynn: dead, diseased and hazardous growth taken out and fruit and ornamental trees shaped for balance.
  • Bush removal in King's Lynn: overgrown bushes and shrubs cleared, roots out where practical and the ground left level and ready to replant.
  • Weeding in King's Lynn: beds, borders, gravel, paving and path edges cleared at the root, with regular visits to keep them clear.
  • Garden clearance: a garden that has got away from you, brambles and all, cut back and cleared so you can start again.

One-off tidy-ups and regular visits

Some people want a garden brought back once, after a house move or a year when it simply got away from them. Others want it kept that way, with a visit every week, fortnight or month through the growing season. I do both. A regular round usually works out better value, because each visit is dealing with a few weeks' growth rather than a few months'.

Book your autumn and winter hedge cut

Autumn and winter are a good time to get booked in. Deciduous hedges such as hawthorn, beech and privet can be cut back or reduced while they are dormant, before the nesting season starts in spring. Conifers and leylandii should not be cut back after August, so I'll book those for late spring instead. Not sure which yours is? Send me a photo. My guide on cutting hedges in the nesting season covers the rules.

Every quote is free and there is no obligation. Tell me what needs doing, add a photo if you can, and I'll come back to you with a clear price.

Garden maintenance in King's Lynn: your questions

Do you cover all of King's Lynn?

Yes. I cover the town and the PE30 to PE34 postcodes around it, including Gaywood, South Lynn, North Lynn and the villages. Send me your postcode if you want to check.

Do you do one-off garden tidy-ups in King's Lynn?

Yes. I'm happy to do a single tidy-up or clearance, and to set up regular visits afterwards if you'd like the garden kept that way.

Can I book a hedge cut for the autumn or winter?

Yes, for deciduous hedges such as hawthorn, beech and privet, which can be cut back while dormant. Conifers and leylandii are best left until late spring, and I'll book those in then.
